Hood County here. We are looking at over 10,000 acres of Industrial “growth” and over 65 Million Gallons per day at full build out from all projects in the pipeline in addition to what we are already using. Trinity aquifer has a recharge rate of 19.4 MGD. Comanche Peak (former Squaw Valley) doesnt look much better.
In Hood County it WILL be an US versus THEM when it comes to water. It is displacing 70,000 people (Hood and Somervelle County, same – shared water sources). Help us fight!! The Developers want us to treat every project individually. But it is the largest cluster build out in the US.
Pacifico
Project Red (now known as Orion)
Project Yellow (now known as Orion)
MARA (Marathon Digital Holdings)
Comanche Circle (sailfish)
Project Panther (sailfish)
Project Lion (sailfish)
Project Patriot aka Knox -Ranch/OpCo1 (Bilateral Energy)
NRG Tolar
Rain Lily (Solar farm)
DeCordova BESS
Yellow Viking-Solar and BESS (Lydian)
Wolf Hollow 3
Fort Spectrum (Amazon)
Those are all projects that are waiting in the pipeline for approval. Some are massive gas plants. We already have Wolf Hollow 1 and Wolf Hollow 2 (gas), and Comanche Peak (Nuclear).
MARA is/was a crypto mine/data center will now be converted into energy production for Project Red and Yellow.
DeCordova BESS is also already built.
Fort Spectrum straddles two counties, they gained approval from Somervelle county but only limited approval from Hood County so far. But looks like we are failing to stop that one.
We are talking over 10,000 acres of rural land in one county alone, what used to be ranches and farm, will be concrete and asphalt.
We are talking hundreds if not over 1000 gas generators.
Additional 12 if not more turbines for the gas plants.
Billions of gallons of water per year!!
If you want a battle ground…come to Hood County and HELP US FIGHT!!
Because if we lose, this will be the Industrial Corridor of Texas without anybody living here but workers camps.
