Lampasas, TX - With just one week until Election Day, Clayton Tucker, Democratic candidate for Texas Agriculture Commissioner, has raised more funds and has more cash on hand than his Republican opponent, Nate Sheets.
According to campaign finance reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission on October 26, Tucker raised $334,287 with $276,906 in cash on hand, compared to Sheets' $307,582 raised and $208,735 cash on hand.
Sheets had 142 unique contributions during the reporting period, while Tucker had 4,651 unique contributions.
"This is what happens when organized people take on organized money," said Tucker. "While monopolies like Tyson buy my opponent, regular folks are showing the power of organized people. Unlike Sheets, I am not for sale."
Tucker, a rancher from Lampasas, has built his campaign around protecting family farms, fighting corporate monopolies, and stopping irresponsible AI data centers from threatening Texas land and water.
"We've spent this campaign standing up for working Texans who've been ignored for too long," Tucker continued. "Now we're heading into Election Day with more cash on hand than the bigshots' candidate. That's something they didn't see coming."
