Stop Flock Cameras
Mass surveillance is coming to America. Larry Ellison, associated with Palantir and Oracle, has said, "Citizens will be on their best behavior, because we're constantly recording and reporting everything that is going on."
Flock cameras are a part of the mass surveillance coming to mess with Texas. They are popping up in cities and the countryside alike. According to deflock.org, Flock cameras are "AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They also capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points. These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime. These systems are marketed as indispensable tools to fight crime, but they ignore the powerful tools police already have to track criminals, such as cell phone location data, creating a loophole that doesn't require a warrant."
While flock cameras can help solve certain crimes, without guardrails or transparency they will lead to mass surveillance. For instance, at least some flock data is being sent to other countries to build surveillance AI.
Surveillance flock cameras also connect with your phone, car, and any Bluetooth device.
Texans do not want or need mass surveillance. Mass surveillance, especially those powered by AI, is the first step towards losing our rights, liberties, and freedoms. We must de-flock Texas to protect our right to privacy and our freedom to live our lives without government or corporate tyranny.
I want mass surveillance cameras, including flock cameras, to be stopped. I support Clayton Tucker doing every power available as Texas Agriculture Commissioner to stop flock to protect our rights, liberties, and freedoms.
