Stop AI Data Centers - Clayton Tucker for TX Ag Commissioner Skip navigation

Stop AI Data Centers

Data centers, including those for AI, are cropping up across Texas. If we are not exceedingly smart with their design, placement, and purpose, they will cause higher water and power bills, run water wells dry, and may hurt jobs.

The TX Ag Commissioner can stop, or at the very least buy time for locals and other officials to find different ways to stop, these irresponsible AI data centers from causing mass water/power inflation. On Day 1 of the job, Clayton will issue "Ag Impact Studies" to stop irresponsible AI data centers from messing with Texas.

For a data center to be considered responsible, it must:

  1. Not cause power disruptions or inflation.
  2. Use brackish or other non-drinking water in a sustainable way, thereby not causing water bill inflation.
  3. Use unionized Texas labor for construction and maintenance.
  4. Pay fair and adequate taxes to their local community.
  5. Not contribute to the the inflation of RAM, computer memory, or other components leading to inflation of electronics.
  6. Not to be placed on prime farmland.
  7. Not be used to automate jobs away, used to promote propaganda, or be used to create a subscription economy where working people own nothing and billionaires own everything.

Data centers, including those for AI, are coming to mess with Texas. With them will come higher water and power bills, dry water wells, and no real jobs. These data centers are of, by, and for Wall Street. They will harm both Main Street families and County Road farms. We need an Agriculture Commissioner who will fight to stop all irresponsible AI data centers from causing mass utility inflation and who will put Texans first, not Wall Street or Big Tech.

It really bad when they are using all our water and electricit electricit because we only have chose of one major electric company to chose from and they also sale to the coap electricit company and it goes up that feel like every day. The discharge water is so toxic it worse than a nuclear power plant discharge .and they letting it drain down in to our creek to our farms and lakes and also lot of lakes around here is where people get there water from for drinking if any will be left. There people in other city’s saying the smell is worse than a paper plate and the building noise is unbearable

Please stop this! We have huge data centers moving into our Red Oak, TX community. I was okay with one, but now multiple are coming in & we had no knowledge as citizens.

Please help stop this. It’s happening to us here in Indiana. Every state in our nation shall remember we’re united and can rise up against this which is defiling of our earth, health, communities, and democratic voice. One state at a time, we can take back our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Jeremiah 2:7

Protect our people and land. Data centers should be at least 5 miles from either.
