Right to Repair
Monopolies have taken the Right to Repair away from our farmers. This means that when a piece of equipment breaks, farmers have to rely on monopolies to fix it, allowing those monopolies to rig prices.
All farmers should have the Right to Repair their own equipment. That right is under threat.
A farmer in North Texas had a tractor transmission break. He didn't have the legal right to repair his own equipment or contract with any third-party mechanic. He had to go through the monopoly to get it fixed. They charged him $60,000.
The lack of the Right to Repair is leading to farm bankruptcies. All farmers deserve the Right to Repair!
As Texas Agriculture Commissioner, I want Clayton Tucker to fight for the Right to Repair all agricultural equipment.
