Hemp - Clayton Tucker for TX Ag Commissioner Skip navigation

Hemp

Hemp is an important product with many uses and benefits.

As Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Clayton Tucker fully supports the right for every farmer to raise hemp, and adults to consume hemp products, without undue interference from government or corporations. Clayton is against any corporation creating a monopoly on hemp production or processing. Clayton supports fair and transparent labeling for all hemp products. Clayton will work with both Congress and the Texas Legislature to achieve this.

Hemp is one of the best ways to restore the soil, and rhysosphere, this is a known and scientifically proven fact. Aside from any other medical and recreational benefits, we overlook this fact too often. Every plant, from garden vegetables, fruit trees, even the grass our cows eat is only as good as the soil, and microbes it grows in.

Stop with the ban/war on hemp, it makes no sense and puts Texans in a worse place. We need to focus on reversing the damage we have done for decades to our environment. Hemp is proven to help in so many areas, and the data shows it is not harmful at all, so stop catering to big companies that could care less about Texas’ future. Your constituents don’t agree with you and will remove you from office if needed!
