Make Food Affordable Again

While corporate profits are sky-high, family farmers are paid pennies on the dollar of what they are owed, and consumers are being price-gouged. Corporate middlemen are both suppressing farm income and raising prices for consumers. We can have cheaper, healthier, and more local foods that pay farmers their fair share while also ensuring food remains affordable -- but only if we limit the ability of the greedy few corporate middlemen from monopolizing our food system.

Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. Texas and Americans as a whole are TIRED of being price gouged for the benefit of a few greedy corporations. I am tired of knowing people are starving.

What used to cost $20 – 40 (2 bags of groceries) now costs in the range of $60-80. Don’t understand how the inflation numbers are calculated. But my math says that is 3x more or 300% increase. Far from what they say the inflation rate is. Oddly, it’s crap food. Can’t tell if the meat is real, grown in a lab, been given the COVID vaccine, or what they are doing to it. Prices and quality of our food has got to change or we’re not going to survive the way things are heading.
