Hemp - Clayton Tucker for TX Ag Commissioner Skip navigation

Hemp

Hemp is an important product with many uses and benefits.

As Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Clayton Tucker fully supports the right for every farmer to raise hemp, and adults to consume hemp products, without undue interference from government or corporations. Clayton is against any corporation creating a monopoly on hemp production or processing. Clayton supports fair and transparent labeling for all hemp products. Clayton will work with both Congress and the Texas Legislature to achieve this.

I own my own CBD company, and what the state is currently doing is only hurting all small hemp businesses like mine. We need common-sense laws that go through the legislative process, not just a rule change by the Department of State Health Services. The doctor in charge of the DSHS is against all cannabis, and that needs to change. Anyone over 21 can make their own decision about which medicine they want to use to help themselves.

You should be able to grow what you want on your own land especially when there are so many benefits how about the government focus more on the corruption and child trafficking instead of holding the citizens down not being able to make their own decisions and provide for their families

I think it’s time for our state representatives and governor to do as the people want, not corporate interest or the billionaires in the state.
