Hemp - Clayton Tucker for TX Ag Commissioner Skip navigation

Hemp

Hemp is an important product with many uses and benefits.

As Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Clayton Tucker fully supports the right for every farmer to raise hemp, and adults to consume hemp products, without undue interference from government or corporations. Clayton is against any corporation creating a monopoly on hemp production or processing. Clayton supports fair and transparent labeling for all hemp products. Clayton will work with both Congress and the Texas Legislature to achieve this.

the medicinal uses alone make banning it a bad choice in my opinion

We don’t need a nanny state with hemp. There are far more deaths on Texas roads caused by alcohol and prescription drugs then there are with hemp. As a disabled Veteran I use hemp to control pain verses the VA having me on 2 10mg/325mg hydrocodone every 4 hours. I lived in a brain fog and still had pain. With hemp i don’t have the brain fog and I don’t have pain anymore. I would rather use a plant than a pill that causes addiction and didnt solve the problem

Let’s keep Texas Government out of telling us what we can do with hemp purchasing in Texas.

Let Texans decide on Hemp products, since it is Illegal for THC . There will be more deaths if you don’t allow. Drug sellers will give out bad stuff.Alcohol is worst then hemp.

It needs to be legal; or, if you don’t want THC products sold commercially, then just let marijuana be legal. After all, many people suffer from chronic pain, and their medications may treat one ailment only to wreak havoc on another. Furthermore—at least in some places—marijuana cultivation involves no chemicals that are harmful to one’s health!

Hemp/Thc(a) is not dangerous to anyone except the politicians who have business relationships with alcohol companies…
